Welcome to the website of Trinity
Evangelical Church, Malta.
"Now when they had escaped, they then found out that the
island was called Malta" (Acts 28:1).
Nearly two millennia ago, the apostle Paul was shipwrecked on
our shores. During his stay on the island, Paul must have preached
Christ and justification by faith. It is our great privilege today to uphold and
to live the same gospel message ...
and share it with everyone.
| A Word from the Pastor Dear Saints,
We are often guilty of indifference to the glorious
coming of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We have not kept our
lamps of expectation burning or bought the oil of eagerness in hope for
the Bridegroom to return. Instead we have involved ourselves too much in
the proceedings and business of this fleeting world. In this respect we
need to ask God’s forgiveness.
Our wandering affections need to be turned towards
Him who loved us and washed us clean in His own blood. Are we eager to
change? Are we ready to incline our hearts to Christ? To be sensitive to
what the Spirit of Truth and Holiness is telling us? We need to learn to
make the ‘blessed hope’ a happy and all-satisfying hope, that it may
break our addiction to this world. In His grace the Father will surely
set our minds on things above where Christ is seated at His right hand.
He can work in us to ‘hope fully in the grace of God that is coming at
the revelation of Jesus Christ.’ He is able to deliver us from too much
dependence on earthly circumstances.
Oh that we may become a radical band of risk-takers
in the cause of love because we know that this mortal flesh will put on
immortality! For ‘if Jesus Christ be God and died for me, there is no
sacrifice great enough for me to do for him.’ |

We
are first and foremost Christians - disciples of
the Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
We call ourselves evangelical because we derive our faith
solely on the teaching of the Bible, and because we have
received salvation by faith in Christ as a free gift from God.
Finally, we are
Reformed Baptist and subscribe to
the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith as an accurate exposition of
biblical doctrine.

"And
they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and
fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers" (Acts
2:42).
We meet regularly as a congregation to worship the Lord God our
Saviour. By God's grace we endeavor to edify and encourage one
another. We are also eager to reach out to all people with the
gospel -- the same message that brought us peace with God and
eternal life. We cannot hide away this priceless treasure!

The Gospel
The gospel is the most urgent and vital message that you will
ever hear. It is the good news of God to us sinners. He shows us
the way back to fellowship with him, forgiveness and eternal life.

Pastor Paul Mizzi presents a collection of essays on a wide
variety of theological and pastoral subjects. His one
