Agape

“Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another” (John 13:34).

In the New Testament, the brotherly love among Christians enjoined by our Lord Jesus found its expression in three practical ways. It was commonly exercised in almsgiving; hence on many occasions agapē is translated as charity. In the church gatherings and in Christian greetings it was displayed by the holy kiss. Gradually the term agapē came to be applied to a common meal shared by believers.

In our church, we hold this feast on the first Sunday of every month. For this occasion we invite our friends and relatives to join us. After prayer, singing and the proclamation of the gospel, we share a meal in friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It is a highlight in our church family life because we find time for informal fellowship which is precious for all of us.

Church Services

We meet regularly as a congregation to worship the Lord and to edify one another. Visitors are most welcome. We invite you to join us to worship the Lord in prayer, singing, the Lord's Supper and the reading and preaching of the Bible. The service is in Maltese but we are pleased to provide an English translation via headphones.
